Turner Entertainment required a viral video solution for its TNT and TBS properties. The viral players had to serve as a marketing vehicle for broadcasting content.

East Vision Systems collaborated with Yahoo! Professionals Services to develop and successfully deliver two custom players for Turner: a TBS viral player and a TNT viral player. The design and functionality of both players is largely the same with differing branding and reporting data. They were to be skinned using the Yahoo! Video Console.

Metrics are stored by two separate systems: Omniture and Nielsen Video Census.

Advertising was provided in the form of in-player companion banners and pre-roll videos from Turner’s Dart Enterprise account. The ad-connector embedded inside the code is constructing the correct ad calls, displaying the companion banner and performing beacon tracking.

The Turner’s players were running on top of the Yahoo! Video Console which provides content management and dynamic player customization.
